I have recently been looking on the Gale's 19th Century British Newspapers site after a long break and I think there are new newspapers listed including the Isle of Wight Observer (1853-1900).  I don't recall it being there before.  If you are a UK resident check your local library website - you may be able to access the site free using your library card's barcode number.
