Oct 1899 ISSUE: Anneslee May Wilton born 1893 ....Died: 11.10.1899 Winifred Constance Wilton born: 24.6.1899 Hope Rd Shanklin..Died 1925 Where would Frank most likely be buried????? Dear Noelene, As they do not appear on the burial index for St Blasius Church, Shanklin - I would think that they may be buried at Shanklin Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Lake, IOW. The IOW council will do a genealogy search - first two names free, thereafter they charge (quelle surprise!!) -see http://www.iwight.com/living_here/help/BereavementServicesCemeteryFeesAndCharges.pdf However, if your rellies were non conformist, then they may be buried at one of the many chapels on the IOW. See http://isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk for a full list of churches / burial grounds on the IOW. As regards finding the house named 'Anneslee', I suggest you ask if SKS has access to a trade directory for the Isle of Wight covering the period to see if the house is listed with a number, which may narrow it down for you - but remember many road numbers have changed over the years as properties have been demolished or new ones built, especially in coastal towns like Shanklin.
