I'm research my family - BUSHELL of Ramsgate (and later Faversham & Sittingbourne) Does anyone have any info on John BUSHELL who is listed on the 1881 census at 18, Staffordshire Street with my great-grandmother Mary Bushell shown as a lodger? She had married shortly before, and her husband Herbert Joseph BUSHELL was a mariner & could well have been at sea on census day. So far I can't make the link between John & Herbert Chris Baker

I don't know what happened if they were in international waters on census night though.
