It is feared that two Margate boatman Denis MCDONAUGH, engineer and Percy Alfred MUNDAY, mate have lost their lives with the motor boat Sunbeam on Saturday night. The boat left Margate Harbour about 9.45 to take off two Gravesend pilots from outward-bound vessels, and was expected to return about Midnight. Heavy seas were running at the time and there was a strong wind. As the Sunbeam did not return till Sunday morning the Margate lifeboat was launched to search the sea. About seven or eight miles out the lifeboat found a quantity of wreckage consisting of a lamp box, part of an engine case, and tins of petrol and paraffin which were identified as belonging to the Sunbeam. There was no trace of the two men and it is feared that they have been drowned. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
