The last Phillpott I have born in Margate was John Phillpott, born 1802. He was the one who went to Bristol and married Mary Harding. His parents, I think, were John Phillpott and Mary Stokes. I'm spelling it with 2 Ls and 2 Ts, but it is quite likely that they spelled it differently.
