The flurry of recent SAYER postings prompts me to ask if anyone can claim Jane SAYER in their tree? She was born c1829 in Birchington (according to five sets of census records) and married John GRIGGS (b. 1824 to Patty IMPETT and Edmund GRIGGS) at some point before the 1851 census.
