Thanks to all for helpful postings. Susannah, I have Louisa Sayer born to Stephen Sayer and Eliza nee Godden at Birchington 17 Feb 1858. Parents married Birchington Parish Church 21 May 1853, his father was a Henry Sayer ?yours. Louisa married Frederick James Cox at All Saints' Birchington 20 October 1878. She was then a spinster which agrees with no husband at my grandmother's birth in August. I got my certificates from Thanet Registration so not sure of GRO ref. I can only see one Louisa on the Index. Tony
