Hi Queenie, We have been in touch before about our mutual JOHNSON relatives. I am looking for details of ancestors of Jane Elizabeth HEWETT( or HEWITT) born 14 November 1837 to George HEWETT, blacksmith, born MInster about 1812 and married to Jane BUTLER born 1809 Sandwich. They were married in St John's Margate in August 1831. Jane married Richard Lawrence LUCAS ( brother of my maternal ancestor William LUCAS ) in St George's Ramsgate in May 1860. I have found the LUCAS and HEWETT families in the censuses - I was really after any pre-1837 information. I have a William James Lucas in my family tree, would be interested to know if there may be a link. He stated in census returns he came from Faversham but I have never been able to confirm that fact.
