Hello, I have recently developed an interest in the life and times of a Ramsgate family the identity of which I have just confirmed. I would very much like to hear from anyone with an interest in, or information about Samuel TUFFNELL (c.1795 - 1884) and his wife Hannah (nee KNIGHT) (1800 - 1881) who were living at 19 Spencer Square in Ramsgate in both the 1861 and 1881 census. They are listed as 'Landed property' - so were presumably fairly well off. I am new to this list, so am unsure of protocol, so please don't be upset or offended if I overstep the line, but I am wondering if s.k.s. with access to for instance the 1851 census may be able to look up these people and / or this address. Hannah's brother Richard or his wife Sophia also owned property in Ramsgate at least around 1900.
