    1. A BIT OF A CHEEK!
    2. I know this is a bit of cheek but I am against the brick wall and I am now resorting to any means known unto mankind! As far as I know there is no connection with Kent let alone the IOT but here goes anyway. My mother's brother Ernest Hubert Clark was severely gassed in WW1 and eventually died of his injuries in February 1927. He had married but nobody could remember (and they are all long gone now) who she was. They knew there were children but again nothing really known. After Ernest's death Alice remarried and contact was lost. Thanks to the Internet I have now discovered the marriage of Ernest Hubert Clark to Alice Elizabeth Montague on 12th January 1916 at St. Matthew's, Stepney. I have also discovered at least two of their children (I have copies of the birth certificates). Violet Clark was born 7th April 1921 in Stepney and Ernest George Albert Clark on 27th July 1925 in Mile End. I know it is a very long shot but is there, by any remote chance, anybody who has come across any of these names either in their family research or just acquaintance. I have cousins whom I have never met and they might now be dead but they might have given me second cousins! Chris
