Ahhh. That explains why he was the only child born in Birchington. As I said in my previous message, I wasn't too sure about all of the children. Hope some of what I wrote is of use, though. Also, I've discovered that the Wales family moved quite a bit between different places, i.e. from Margate to St. Peters and back. I found a marriage between James Wales and Sarah Shrubshall/Shrubsole. Could it be that they're the parents of the James who married Elizabeth Fowler? Anyway, just take your time sorting things out, I'll be gone this weekend (leave tomorrow) to take the kids to their father. Will be online tonite and then monday again, so ... have a good weekend! All of your, of course ;o) Warm regards, Kya Linda Wales <cleavefarm@btinternet.com> wrote: Hi Saskia, I will look at the information you have sent, and see if it ties in with what I have here. HOWEVER!!! I do know that Lewis was definitely not the son of James Whales and Hannah Foster, as I have a copy of his (Lewis)marriage certificate to his second wife Eliza stathen in 1857, and it states that Lewis's father was John (who was a thatcher) I'll get back to you when I have looked into the rest.
