Hi to all this is my first time on this list. After searching the IGI files, came across a family born in this area that has every possibility of being connected to the generation I am looking for or otherwise I am heading down the wrong track again. Any help is sorting out the puzzle would be very much appreciated. Robert STRONG lived in Silver Street Rotherhithe, there also was a William STRONG living near by, whom we think may have been Robert's brother. In the IGI files there is a family in Isle-of-Thanet - Parents William and Mary with two sons the years Robert and William would have been born. Roberts STRONG born abt 1793 - no idea where - died June 1849 of cholera in Rotherhithe. Married 1813 Margaret FISHER born 1790 Norwich Norfolk, died 1867 Rotherhithe.. Children: Mary abt 1814 possible daughter, not proved yet John William born 1816 - 1824 Robert Arthur born 1817 - 1909 NZ Rosina born 1819 - 1861 Rotherhithe Charles born 1823 - 1885 NZ George born 1825 - 1896 NZ Margaret born 1827 - ?? Rotherhithe Sarah born 1830 - 1903 NZ Susannah born 1833 - 1849 (cholera) All these children were born in Rotherhithe, Robert, Charles, George and Sarah all left England to live in New Zealand, the rest stayed in England. Is there any one else following this family that knows any information on them, or is this another 'pipe dream'.
