Debbie, Another lister has pointed you towards the asylum for Kent. However, clinical records are subject to a 100 year closure rule, so they would not be available to you for someone born in 1921. You might get admission and next of kin details, but only if you are next of kin ( or with their permission if you are not) I don't know of any hospital records online.
