From this weeks Whitstable Times. (26th May 2006) A small section recording the events of 50 Years ago. Mr E WHITE, who had been with the Kent Grocery Firm of Messrs Vye and Sons for 31 years, leaving Whitstable to become the Manager of the Firm's Broadstairs Branch. Mr WHITE had been manager in Whitstable High Street for 27 years and had built an excellent business for his firm. His promotion to the branch at Broadstairs was well deserved and all the customers of Messrs Vye and Sons in Whitstable wished him every success in his new position.
