The team will be selected from H R COOKE (Captian), E SPANTON, J WILLIAMS, G PETTS, R MILES, S BOOKER, W FOAD, A KNIGHT, R YOUNG, E TUBB, Rev A W MACMICHAEL and E NORMAN. Methodist Services At the Minster Methodist Church on Sunday, services were conducted by Mr A BAYFORD of Broadstairs and Mr W C CHAMBERLAIN of Deal. A vocal solo was rendered by Miss MINTER. Mr H W LOMAX (Broadstairs) and Mr W TINKLER (Ramsgate) will officiate this weekend. Death of JOHN BAX Minster residents will learn with regret of the death on Sunday of Mr John BAX aged 71 years of 2 Monkton Road, Minster. A barber in the village for fifty years, Mr BAX was invalided out of the army in 1918 with a partial disability pension. During his lifetime Mr BAX had travelled a great deal, visiting America and recently India. He was a member of the Minster and Monkton Flower Show Committee and also a member of The Molineux Institute and the Salvation Army. Every sympathy will be extended to his widow and three married children, one son and two daughters. The funeral took place today at Minster Cemetery. Funeral of Miss BROWN The funeral took place at Monkton on Tuesday of Miss Nellie Matilda BROWN aged 59, who died at the residence of her sister Mrs BURTON at Forge House on Sunday. For many years a nurse in various hospitals in the United States of America, Miss BROWN returned to England about five years ago and lived for some time at Augustus House, Fordwich. It was her wish, however, that she should be buried at Monkton next tot he grave of her sister. The committal service was conducted by the Vicar of Monkton, the Rev H C Henham and the mourners were Mr and Mrs BURTON, Brother in law and sister, Miss E BROWN, sister, Mr and Mrs GIMBER, brother in law and sister Mrs VAUGHAN, Minster and Mrs MALE, Sturry. Many floral tributes were received.
