Well, 'Lion Place' is almost certainly a transcription error for 'Zion Place'. Who knows what slips may have occurred elsewhere but if this is a modern transcription (i.e transcribed onto the certificate you were sent) then I suggest you query it with the GRO. They are fallible just like the rest of us! If it is an image of an 1887 transcription then you will have to look for other evidence.
