Our first query concerns John Farnell b1864/5. The 1911 census entry shows John Farnell ,wife Emily and family, living at 62 Queen Street Ramsgate. His occupation is given as Evangelist (scripture). Further research from Kelly's 1913 directory shows him to be a missioner at the Sailors Harbour Mission, Military Road. (we think he was a Captain in the Church Army) Our question is when did he arrive in Ramsgate, how long was he there, what were his duties, where did he go after.?? The second query - in 1913 Kellys there is an entry for Farnell Brothers - dining rooms - 62, Queen street . Was john involved with this or was he just living above. If not which brothers owned the dining rooms.?? Any information however small would be gratefully recieved.
