Hi, Could anyone tell me if 5,Town Cottages is/was anywhere near 51, High Street Margate in 1881. I have a child age 1, born out of wedlock, being boarded at the first while her mother was a servant at the second. I know that the second was a jewellers owned by the Fagg family. I was wondering if this was the only way that Eliza Jane could keep her baby near her. Thank you.
Hi, Just to say that 5 Towns Cottages were part of Garlinge High Street, not Margate High Street which is about a mile and a half away. I did work out whereabouts in the High Street (or The Street as it was then known) the cottages were, but I am unable to lay my hands on the details at the moment. If you need any more information please let me know.
