    3. Sadly, no news of what is happening to the Museum. The whole collection needs to be re- catalogued and with no money or persons available it could take years. There is a Italian copper sign captured in North Africa in the War Room of the Museum on the wall on the left. I took pictures of every room before I left, always handy so I can see whats NOT there if it reopens!!!, so will see if I can find a picture it Suzannah    ----- Original Message ---- From: dave ager <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, 10 May, 2009 7:44:04 PM Subject: [Isle-of-Thanet] Margate Museum Dear List I confess I haven't been following the correspondence with any care, but am I correct in understanding that it is to be closed? If not, what is happening, and what is happening to its collections? I have today learnt that during WW2  my uncles, Bill and Ted PIDDUCK from Garlinge, 'liberated'  some sort of sign from Tobruk, which they smuggled home and then donated to Margate Museum. I gather it was quite a sizeable thing, and was at one time on display. Both my uncles are now dead, but the family would be interested to know what became of this sign. Does anyone have any information?
