Hi Anne, Many thanks to you also for your prompt reply - it has been a huge task to isolate this couple and the two that you put forward are worth the expense of two certificates, even if it eliminates them, that will be a help I found then in the 1851 census but nothing after that, that is, they do not seem to be in the 1861 Census. If yourself or any one else would like any assistance with lookups for Australia, I do have quite comprehensive records at home.
