Hi Steve I read your offer re St Nicholas at Wade information and would appreciate some assistance with our Brett research. We have a Robert Brett marrying Mary Lindsay 21 Mar 1789 in Hoath. We believe he lived in Marsh Row in Chislet, in a cottage named the Swans Nest. He was a Looker/Ag. Lab. Robert and Mary had eight children, all of them were baptized at St. Nicholas church. After years spent searching for Robert's baptism we eventually found what we consider the likeliest, in Ash next Sandwich in Mar 1764, father William, mother Elizabeth nee Richardson. What I am requesting is if you could check for Brett baptisms before 1764 for me, we cannot find William's baptism. Do you recall anything about Bretts Row, Marsh Row of the Swans nest cottage? Thanks in anticipation, if I can help you with any research in the west country, let me know. If anyone needs specific info, please advise, and I can look things up for you. I also pop by every so often (my parents still live in Thanet and I visist approx. once a month), and I may be able to photograph graves.
