Born in Birchington in 1886, baker's apprentice to his uncle, Edward Ladd Neame in Canterbury. Emigrated to Canada after WW1. He appears in the. 1891. census, and his marriage to Florence Haydon in 1915 is in BMD. However, cannot find any other traces, including census. Would anyone have any recommendations, sources? SYKES at 12 Sussex St, Ramsgate. In the 1891 she's at 18 Sussex St. I don't know at what point fixed house numbers came into being in Ramsgate, but this could be her. Then in the 1928 Kelly's there's a Mrs SYKES (no initial) at 53 Boundary Rd, Ramsgate. SYKES being a common name, this may not be her.
