In the Thanet Times for Feb 1977 I came across a picture of Mr and Mrs KENNETT taken outside their Antique shop in Monkton Road, Minster. Also with them is their son Bob in his Army uniform and the picture was taken 1918. I recall a lister having KENNETT's from Minster within their tree? Looking at the 1901 census, there is a James and Jessie KENNETT both aged 41, Funiture Dealers? Suzannah Margate Local & Family History

Hi Suzannah, That's me, with the Kennett connection - James is my great-grandfather's brother. James Steven Kennett, born 1859 in Minster, Thanet, son of James Kennett and Mary Anne Setterfield. He married Jessie Hutchinson in 1887. I can only find five children for them, Florence G, Irene, Dorothy, Reginald J, and Harold E- no Robert at all - so the son Bob in the photo is a bit of a mystery.
