Thank you. Technology scares the living daylights out of me! Something I have always been curious about. I only met my father's family once, just after the war when I was a child. We visited Aunt Lena, my grandmother's elder sister Selina Coleman and her daughter was there. Wendy Rogers, when I mentioned the family, said this was the posh branch of the family who had lived in Hawley Square. I must admit the aunt was a bit of a grand dame. But why were they posh? I gather the land for the farms was rented not owned. There doesn't appear to have been any money. I don't even know any stories about the family in the way my mother's family related misdemeanors and adventures. It's one of those questions that has puzzled me on how to ask it let alone find answers. You seem to have an endless knowledge of Thanet and the researchers find the most amazing info from such unlikely stories.
