On the John Passmore Edwards site for the convalescent home there are several photographs. One taken in August 1925 shows Walter Charles GEAREY. I've been told he's the one the top row - fourth in from the right. My Londoner grandmother was a GEAREY (before marrying a Ramsgate MORRIS). This Walter Charles, may well be her much older brother. Or, could be a cousin! How did people become eligible to go to this place? Is there any information on the staff? Were there hotels in Pegwell Bay? My late mother spoke of staying at Pegwell Bay. If I recall there was a family member who ran a guest house/hotel. Veronica
