The name Bax stands out to me. I have a wonderful little booklet called "The people called Quakers, or Not a bed to lie in" written by Elizabeth Hudson, which relate the tale of John Love who married a Martha Bax on Christmas day 1664 at St Nicholas Church in Ash.As the title suggests, they were Quakers and suffered severe persecution for their faith. I have traced my mothers line (Love) back to Richard Love, born 1733 in Ash, but have been unable to forge a link between him and John. Hopefully if there are any Bax line they MAY be able to help with a link that I feel is probably there.
