From the names of witnesses on various marriage certificates I have concluded that she had siblings Sarah, William, and Thomas, while two of her children were Jane and Daniel. All these names are found in the family of Jane Hughes and Daniel Clark, so I think Mary may well have been their daughter. However, as these are not uncommon names, there may have been another family with the same names. Does anyone have any information to suggest their is another family with the same names at the same time ie late 1700's early 1800's? Does Joan have the names of witnesses at John Pettitt's wedding, as this might be another clue? Sarah Clark married Elijah Emptage and William Clark married Elisabeth Emptage, so these may well be siblings of Harriet.
