Broadstairs and St Peter's Echo 26th June 1920 Old Official Retires - Harbour Masters Long Service Mr Jethro PETTIT, harbour master at Broadstairs who is 77 years of age is resigning the office which he has held for 20 years. Previously for 32 years he was a member of the local lifeboat crew. In recognition of his faithful service the Pier and Harbour Committee recommended the Council to appoint Mr PETTIT boat inspector as a wage of 35s per week.
