    1. [Isle-of-Thanet] Dixon / Frederiksen - Fathers Name on Marriage Certificate
    2. Chris Dixon
    3. I need a little help with a conundrum and would appreciate any advice on what to do next. For some time i have been trying to find out more about my fathers First Wife and specifically where/when she was born and her ancestry. However, i have come up against a wall again. Recently i found the Index reference for their marriage and the certificate finally arrived today. Robert Victor Dixon married Vera Elizabeth Frederiksen on 5th Oct 1946 in St Georges Parsh Church Ramsgate. He 22, She 29 His Father (My Grandfather) Albert Victor Dixon (this i know) - Her Father Recorded as Svend Kristian Frederiksen. I looked up Svend on Ancesty.co.uk but the only entry for this name was born in 1914 in Denmark and therefore could not be her father. However, his Father is recorded as Hans Kristian Frederiksen and Mother Karla Anderson. My Father Had 3 Children from his first marriage (My Half siblings) Eldest Son Robert, (Named after his Father) Eldest Daughter Karla. (Would assume the name chosen by Vera from someone in her family as seems to be the case for many generations in my tree. My Question is - If the Father is Deceased at marriage would a brother be entered as the Father on the certificate ?? and therefore could Svend be Veras Brother? Maybe the Parish register would tell us more? Does anyone have access to the St Georges Marriage registers for 1946? Any Help would be appreciated. Chris Dixon
