James SAYER and Emma Ann nee SOLLEY were my gg grandparents. They married at St John's Margate in 1852. Emma can be found in the 1851 census living with her parents, James and Eleanor SOLLEY at Staple. James is shown as being born at Ash in about 1787 and Eleanor at Eastry in about 1789. That is as much as I have seen in the records. I have always been rather uncertain of this line of ancestry further back relying on others to share their information with me and not being certain if they have seen actual records or have in turn relied on others. My understanding is that Eleanor was Eleanor GARDNER and that James and Eleanor married at Ash in 1807. I also understand that James was the son of John SOLLEY and Sarah LAWRENCE who married at Ash in 1780. Is there anyone on the List who has access to parish registers for Ash who can confirm that my information is correct? Thank you David
