LOST SENSE OF SMELL At Margate, England, recently a jury awarded £1800 damages to Thomas Sidney BULLOCK against John Patrick BROWN , for injuries sustained in an accident at Northdown, Margate, in August last year. Evidence was given that defendant's cart ran into the plaintiff's bicycle from behind. The plaintiff had a fractured base of the skull, causing permanent loss of the sense of smell and partial loss of taste. The accident would necessitate an operation every three months for life.
