    3. Thanks, Suzannah. I wanted to look up some HEWETT or HEWITT records for Minster and St John, Margate for a new connection to my LUCAS family who has recently got in touch. I will see if I have those saved, and wait for John to get in touch. Don't know if it's any help, but St. John's Church in Margate has A LOT (apparently!) of old records...not sure how much they would have put onto the net...they do have their own website (as you prob know!) so may be worth asking if you haven't already.. 2. Stuart
    3. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone had any connections or interest in the FORD name in Thanet, specifically around Margate, St Peters or Broadstairs? I have an ancestor, John FORD, living in Whitechapel in E. London between c. 1825 until his death in 1856. I know he was born in Margate around 1790 and that his father was also John FORD. Looking at the parish records in the area (actually mainly St Peters), I have a constructed a plausible FORD tree back to the early 1700's and I'd love to hear from anyone else who might share a common tree. Secondly, does anyone know of any historical records, apart from the parish registers (and these excellent list archives), relating to Thanet from c. 1780 to 1840? ie I have exhausted the parish registers - what would be the next resource(s) to try if I wanted more information from the pre-census era? Thanks very much, Stuart Ford. stuartford10805@btinternet.com

Furthermore, can anyone tell me any of George Palmer and Sarah Bolden's forebears. Dene Gill
