Hello Shirley, Guess you haven't received my card yet. I am running a bit late this year. Bud was discharged from N.Home yesterday, but has been in bed all day. I think it is going to be just like before and he will not make an effort to do better. Still no word from our son with the brain disease. I have prayed and prayed that he would call and come for Christmas, but doesn't appear that it will happen. I just had a great time at Jane's for the wedding. I flew out of Evansville on Thursday and returned on Monday. It was a wedding of a lifetime.... Just beautiful. It was so difficult to leave Jane all alone. She is walking much slower now. The little stockings you made me sure feel good in this weather. The wind is terrible today. Took gifts to Mabel yesterday. She said she was so weak and that she didn't want to go to Don's (her stepson) for Christmas. It was the first time she didn't walk me to the door. She had asked that I get a box of candy just in case she did go to Don's, but was afraid she would forget she had it. When I called Don today to remind her when he picked her up, he said she was already on the way and that his son was picking her up as they were having the dinner today. I will call her tonight or tomorrow, but I am sure she will be exhausted. We are having Christmas dinner here around 2:00 on the 25th. There is a Mass for our son who passed away and my parents that morning at 9:00 and I didn't want to have to rush. Our little Emma is Mary, Mother of Jesus, at the Christmas Eve Mass so I will be attending that also. Austin is an Emporer. Our older granddaughter has to work and will be here Thurs. and asked that we save her some food. I pray that you and your family will have a Blessed Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year. Love, Mary Lou
