Pate. She married George Stark Gaines, grandson of George Strother Gaines. Other than the single mention, I do not see any other information on Mary Pillans or the Isbells. Daisy Torrey Pillans was a granddaughter of Elizabeth Isbell Henshaw, and Daisy's stepmother Mary was also her aunt: Mary Anderson (Isbell) Henshaw Torrey. Descendants of John Lewis Isbell, son of George Isbell, son of William Isbell & Ann (Dillard) of Goochland, Virginia.
