    3. Bob Isbell is a friend of long standing. He has asked me for help in trying to find his family roots. He knows little , but has told me two significant pieces of information along with his personal information. 1. His family legend tells him that the family name was Bell in New England, probably in the 1600's A family member had to appear in Court. This Bell was asked if his name isBell. The answer was yes. Since that time, the family name was Isbell. 2. He knows there were/are many Isbell's in the State of Indiana. 3. There was another Robert Isbell in Michigan contemporaneous with him. Bob had identity problems with Robert in recent years. 4. A. This Bob, born Robert Charles Isbell on October 2, 1924 at Kendallville, Indiana, the son of Harold Leslie Isbell and Madelyn Ettling. B Their other children were sons, Harry Jr.and Jack (maybe John?) 5. The family was and remains Roman Catholic. I know Bob would be grateful for anything he could learn. If you could help him, I'd be pleased to forward your work to him. He does not have a computer nor access to one. Thank you for any help you could provide. Regards, Joyce Stevens Livonia, Michigan
