WWII Draft Card, 1942: Film roll WWII_2247174; Serial #2966. Another film roll MIUSA1939B_082517. Residence: 33 Harriet St, Brighton, Suffolk MA. Age 49. Phone: ST2-9864. Wife shown as Mrs Harold Isbell, same address. He was employed by Summerfield Furniture Co., 727 Washington St., Boston, MA. 1910 Wayne Twp; Kendallville Ward 4, Noble Co, IN census 4 May 1910 [Series T624 roll 372 pg 17B:] He was 17 and in the home of his parents, Charles L and Martha E Isbell. Both parents born in IN. 204 Silver St. Dwelling/Family; 425/433. Married 9 years with 0/0 children born/children still living. Sounds to me maybe a 2nd wife. In the home were: [VERY HARD TO READ!] Charles L age 40 [abt 1870], IN. looks like maybe Mine machinery or something. Can't read the place at all or how he was paid. Own/Mortgaged/house. Martha E age 36, IN/XX/NY. Dressmaker, [Own Accord, not wage] Xxxx Shop. Harold L age 17, IN/IN/IN. Machinest/Automobile Plant, wage; He was working on 15 Apr and was working in 1909. He could read/write, not in school. Darold D age 14, IN/IN/IN. He could read/write,& in school. Ruth F age 12, IN/IN/IN. She could read/write, & in school. I couldn't read the birth place for their parents. It's their birth place/fathers/mothers. Registration Location: Wayne County, Michigan; Roll 2032600; Draft Board: 20. World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918: Ward 16, Pct 16, Detroit, MI. A21-1-20 [2382 #359] Harold L Isbell age 25, same birthdate. Hendathville, IN. [I think it's the same place, just spelling]. He was a Service Station ?gt for Standard Oil Co in Detroit. Married and claim exemption. Dependents. The signature is the same. He is medium height; medium build; light brown hair; blue eyes and no lost limbs. 1900 [T623 roll 295 pg 11B] Kendallville, Noble Co IN. 249/276 Dwell/family. Foreman/Refridge factory, wage, Yes he was working. No he wasn't in the military. Julia E age 58, age when first married 21, Did not go to school in 1929; can read/write. IN/GERMANY/OH. Everything here is documented. There is more and another generation, If I'm right with my thinking. Anyway, let me know what to do from here. I'm so glad the internet information systems have improved. Scrolling through films was so hard. Yes, I will explain your information to him as best I can. Thank you from both Bob and myself.
