Thomas Dula" and Mr. Thomas Foster came into open Court and made oath on the holy evangelist of Almighty God, that they were in Company with Thomas Isbell, Esqr., John Duley and sundry other persons at Majr. John Robins' on the twenty eighth of November 1796 when a scirmish happened between said Thomas Isbell & said John Duley and that these Deponents saw said scirmish, and at that time heard said Isbell say let go my ear, and that after said scirmish they saw that said Isbell Ear was bitten and both assisted in putting ear together in order to make it grow together again and that they heard said John Duley say that he had bitten said Isbells ear. These deponents further swaer that not withstanding their endeavour to make said ear grow together that the lower part of said Isbells right ear hath since came entirely off in consequence of said bite.
