Does anyone know of an Jonathan Irvin who married Harriett Coons in Jefferson County, WVA on 26 Oct 1823. Jonathan and family are listed in the 1830 Jefferson County, WVa census but the story goes that they moved on the Ohio. I now think they moved to Fayette County, Ohio where Jonathan died and Harriett and the children moved on to Logan County, Illinois. The children's names were Katherine, Mary Virginia, and James Henry Irvin. Katherine married a George Gard and Mary Virginia married Green Murphy. I have been searching for the origin of Jonathan Irvin for years. In one census, James Henry stated his father was born in Pennsylvania.
