My search is for Joseph IRVIN, born between 1798 and 1810, possibly County Tyrone, Ireland. He married Nancy Riedman (in Ireland?) I only know of one child, Nancy, born Sept. 22, 1841 in Simcoe County, Ontario. (Nancy married Samuel Gates, they had 9 children. I believe they were all born in Ontario.) The Gates' and Joseph Irvin moved to Isabella County, Michigan. On the 1880 Regular census for Iabella County, Mi, Joseph Irvin is listed as being 70 years old, living with his daughter and her husband,Samuel and Nancy Gates. Also listed is a 60 year old sister-in-law to Samuel Gates, her name is Mary and she was born in Ireland, also. Any connections? Thanks, Norma\NH
