George Irving was a wood forester from Dumfrieshire, Scotland, born circa 1798.He married Jane McDonald in Closeburn Village on May 27, 1832. Jane's parents were Ronald McDonald(for real) and Jane Lennox. George and Jane arrived in New York aboard the ship Hector on July 29, 1834. This family settled near Settle's Bridge in Rockingham County N.C.I would like any information anyone out there might have on either the ancestors or descendants of this family. Don Thomas Simmons
