This is a real long shot. On my great grandmother's (b. ca 1845) 1940 death certificate her father was listed as Ebenezer IRVIN, b. Africa. My aunt was interviewed in 1981 and recalled stories of him being sold away from the Millwood Plantation of James Edward Calhoun in Abbeville Co, SC. I would love to find others researching genealogical connections to an Ebenezer IRVIN who might have been enslaved in SC, AL, or MS???
