Hi, Ed. Once again, I feel that we are cousins but I can't turn up the connecting link. Some of the Ervin material is at my father-in-law's house (because there's not room in my house) but I think I'm going to have to go get it. I do have a James Robert Ervin but he's a few generations earlier -- b. 1788, d. 1836 in Montgomery County, NC. And it seems that your James Robert is not a direct descendant of his, though I'm not certain. Sounds like you have more info about your gggf James -- if you want to send me that it might help me make the connection. I do hope there is a connection because there's some really wonderful material here I never realized I had, and I'd be tickled to share it with someone who cares about it. I'll get back to you when I've had a chance to look further. (Please "remind" me if I don't.) -- Julia ED ERWIN wrote: > > In looking over this following activity, I see what is possibily the family > of Ervins that I ahve been looking for since I began my research several > years ago.
