Hi Judy. My gggrandfather was James Irvin/Ervin/Erwin. I do not have his birth dates and have not been able to determine which of the many James Irvins of this era was mine. The family story was that he died as an older man in either the Senior Reserves or Confederate Homeguard. One of his sons was born in SC. The birth date of your James Wiley below would certainly fit this story so I am wondering if you have any further information on your James Wiley Irvin b. 1810 that you could share such as dates, children, marriages and so forth that I may be able to determine a lead to my missing link. Thank you, Ed Erwin/Arden, NC -----Original Message----- From: Judy Ballard <snoop@rcis.net> To: IRVIN-L@rootsweb.com <IRVIN-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, September 22, 1999 10:34 PM Subject: Re: [IRVIN] James Irvin born 1763 in Chatham Co., NC >Known children: > >Susanna (1797 - 1846) never married >Isaac James (1800 -1839) >Abram Collins (1801 - 1865) married Louisa Beam >Rachael (b. 1803) married William Earl/s >John Young (1806 - 1829) >Martha "Patsey"(b. 1818) married Loranzo Dow Webb >James Wiley (b. 1810) >Hannah (b. 1813) married Jesse Hardin >Ancil Jackson (1815 - 1895) >Elizabeth Martin (b. 1819) married Matthias Mason >Sarah (b. ca 1821) married Michael Workman > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: H.
