    3. Sorry John I have no idea what Ex directory means we in Australia say silent number or in the telephone book. I guess this might be what you mean of course. And should you find a notice in the paper for him, make sure you post that to the Ireland Obit list, or should come across his headstone, post that to the Tombstone Ireland list or Cemetery list. I did indeed email him but that bounced, guess hes still off, chasing he belles of Dongal or is that the Bluebells of Donegal. I do know his phone has been engaged ( not to be married) for some evenings now or is that morning as himself has tried to make contact, but himself cleverley wiped all his phone numbers out, so have been trying to get the round one ( Cyril) to text his phone number to him------ They have a few cats perhaps that knocked the phone off the hook Ahh well hes like a bad penny he will arrive full of apologies and excuses, when he deems it fit enough to keep us all company here again. Back the hunt for the rellies --------NO NO NO not Newsomes.......wheww CARA

    3. Morning Cara, Here in England "Ex directory " means that your phone number will not be entered into any phone directories, and if you enquire at "the Phone Co Directory Enquiries" they will not give you the phone number either. I am not sure if they still do but years ago they operator at Directories enquiries would contact the number and inform them that someone was trying to contact them by phone. Hope this helps Regards Peter P.
