Son ROBERT FOX was married in RC church at Catholic Church of Bray, registrars district of Bray & Rathmichael 2, Union of Rathdown on 23 January 1869 to MARY BRIEN (BRYAN) of Ashford, County Wicklow. Her father was JAMES BRIEN, a laborer. At the time of the marriage ROBERT's residence was Ballinapark (between Ashford and Rathnew) and MARY's was Ashford. Their children were raised RC, many having been baptized at St. Patrick's RC church Wicklow Town. However ROBERT's baptism has not been located in either RC or COI records. GENERAL NOTES:- There is evidence that Son WILLIAM FOX(1838) married SARAH BRIEN (BRYAN) and son ROBERT FOX(1839) married her sister MARY . There is strong circumstantial evidence linking ROBERT as brother to WILLIAM FOX(1838) who is recorded in Wicklow RC records as son of WILLIAM FOX and MARY WILLIAMS. Both married BRIEN's; both have sons named after the sisters' father JAMES BRIEN and their older brother THOMAS BRIEN; both have daughter SARAH, presumably named after SARAH (WILLIAMS) FOX; ROBERT was sponsor of WILLIAM and SARAH's daughter SARAH baptized 1864; both have been documented to be residing in the Ashford - Rathnew area in the 1860s; civil marriage registry lists a WILLIAM FOX as ROBERT's father and finally the similarity of names of children of these couples.

I see that you have a sarah Williams in your farmily. Have you been able to track her side. My Great Grandma Dorcas Jones Born around 1838-42 said that she had a cousin with the last name Williams. That is all I know at this point. Dorcas' father was Robert Jones and Dorcas married a Henry Fennell. They lived in the Rathvilly/Baltinglass area Co. Wicklow. Your reply will be apprecated.
