The family were from Wicklow but at some point moved to Dublin. SHIP IF KNOWN:- DESTINATION:- OCCUPATION:- Patrick Byrne Sr was a labourer. His son Charles Byrne was a labourer also, specifically a gardener at the time of his death. RELIGION IF KNOWN :- Catholic GENERAL NOTES:- Patrick Byrne Jr and Charles Byrne married sisters Sarah Beresford and Mary Beresford. "Nan" Byrne had only one arm (don't know why) and was married with a family. Charles Byrne put his place of birth as Dublin in the 1911 census. However a search at the GRO failed to turn up any possible birth record. An elderly relative thinks he was born in Wicklow, but doesn't know where. Some family remember visiting Dalgeny / Delgany but this may be a "red herring".
