Not much help, but you never know, some small thing might just be the lead I need. I have a letter from Uncle John Beatty whose second daughter is married to a slater named CARTY and lives in Arklow. A Carty connection might help with my BEATTY (Beattie) search. The letter was dated 24th April 1844. I have no knowledge of Miss BEATTY's first name nor Mr. Carty's. Hi Charlene. My John Carty was born 1806 at Englishtown Rathvilly Co Wicklow, his father was Daniel Carty, John married Margaret Norton in 1836 and they migrated to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) with two children in 1839. He died there at Emu Bay in 1876 Have much more of his descendants but nothing of ancestors. If any of this makes sence please let me know. David. ----- Original Message ----- From: <charw@sympatico.ca> To: <IRL-WICKLOW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 06, 2006 6:36 AM Subject: Re: [Wicklow] re Is anybody there > Not much help, but you never know, some small thing might just be the lead > I need.
