Hi Ive just obtained the John Niles entry on Griffiths Valuation that Cyril kindly pointed me to. Its in Upper Knockanree, Castlemacadam. The description is house and small garden which sounds as I would have expected. Many surrounding properties are house office and land. Has anyone any idea of the nature of thes tenements. I imagined rows of "miners" style cottages ( just like I live in now in Sunderland England) and not a mixture of dwelling types. It would be great if someone could "paint a picture" for me. Carol
