    3. Morning Cara, Yes I am still here on this lovely sunny morning---ops sun just gone in!!! I am still trying to solve some of my Irish problems with the help of Cyril. Your item was very interesting. Very many of the Catholic priests here in UK used to come from Ireland but not any more. Hope all is well with you God Bless Peter P.Collins Cheltenham UK ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cara_Links" <cracker@hotkey.net.au> To: <IRL-WICKLOW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2006 11:45 AM Subject: [Wicklow] JOHN CULLEN

    3. Hello Cara, Thanks for the following message which was good to read. I am still hopefully watching the Wicklow list for any news on KEOGH. My grandfather, John Shannon married Catherine Keogh from Wicklow County in Sydney in 1867. Catherine came to Sydney on "Northumberland" in 1862 with her brother, John Keogh and they were sponsored by their brother Patrick Keogh who came to Australia on "British Trident in 1861. They settled in the Glebe area of NSW and I have found many other KEOGH in this area but cannot be sure (although it is most likely) that they are all related. Trust you are keeping well, and the Wicklow List has been pretty quiet for for some time now, I agree. It was very sad to hear of the death of Keith Taylor as I had a lot of correspondence from him and he introduced me to Cyril Newcombe and both helped me very much with my research at the time. Best wishes, Shirley Parker (Australia) -----Original Message----- From: Cara_Links [mailto:cracker@hotkey.net.au] Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2006 8:45 PM To: IRL-WICKLOW-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Wicklow] JOHN CULLEN John Hugh Cullen was born 14th June 1883 at Kilquade Co Wicklow Ireland he was the son of Michael Cullen and Mary nee Troy Educated by the Christian Brothers in Dublin and at Mungret College Co Limerick where he graduated B.A. in 1904 as an external student of the Royal University of Ireland.
