Dear All I have found a couple of very hekpful people in my searches for the VALENTINE family. I now have a very wide (and imcomplete) picture. I can get back to a James valentine who had at least 2 sons (Thomas and James born 1808 and 1809). He would seem to have lived in Rostyduff (Rustyduff, Rostiduff etc) and then Diamond Hill, his son James married Elizabeth Hanbidge and returned to Rostyduyy whil Thomas went on living in Diamond Hill and then Coolawinna. This Thomas was buied in Kiltegan so any leads might be there but from what I understand the Kiltegan records only exist back to 1845 and beside the Kilranelagh records are completely gone.
